Benefits of Online Coaching
Having accountability to a coach on a regular basis is key to successful coaching. There will be a weekly check in to assess what went wrong that week, what you did right and what we need to work on the following week. Having something written down helps your coach, and also helps you to see where you are at and where you want to be. Having that reassurance and regular contact will enable you to gain more confidence in yourself.
Online coaching forces you to take ownership for your own training and nutrition. A lot of the time, clients will rely too much on their Personal Trainer and not take action themselves. You have to learn to push yourself and channel your internal motivation to get the work done. Your coach will still be there to guide and support you, and give you the encouragement you need, but deep down you need to put in the hard work yourself to get the results you want, especially if we are thinking long term.
You can train when and where you want, and if something comes up in your work or personal life, you can change the time or even place when you want. If you travel for work a lot, or live a sporadic life such as cabin crew, you can train anywhere and your progress doesn’t need to be hindered by your travels.
You can fit your training in around your life, whether this be a shorter workout before work or a longer workout at the weekend. You can train whenever you like and not be tied down to having to travel to a certain location for sessions. If you are likely to want to train before or after work, many PTs are likely to be full at these times.
Online programs tend to give you a lot more structure, using certain programming apps where you can monitor your progress. You will get a structured plan depending on what equipment you have (if any) and what your current goals are. As your sessions are planned ahead of time, you will be able to see in advance what you are doing and know what weights etc you need to start at.
Online coaching is generally more cost effective than 121 Personal Training. You tend to get a lot more for your money, and allows you to commit to something for a longer period of time to ensure you get the results you want.
Online coaching tends to open up more communication channels so you can contact your coach whenever you wish. Get the support you need, when you need it.
